Easter is coming up. Time to have a short retro. Wow! In the past 3 years of the rise of the TOMP-API, we have created quite a few deliverables. I am so proud to summarize the results of our open-source ánd voluntary based group:

– 2 versions of the TOMP blueprint
– at least 5 officially launched versions (0.9, 1.0, 1.1, 1.2.2 and 1.3.0)
– presented the TOMP at a lot of international congresses and digital webinars
– created a vast Wiki to support implementations and explain the technical side of the TOMP-API
– over 150 peer-to-peer sessions with implementing or investigating parties
– gave advice to at least 5 national governments or national covering solutions
– cocreated GTFS-GOFS
– contributed to the CDS-M project
– contributed actively to several pilots (like the blockchain pilot)
– created a reference environment, where people can ‘joyride’ the TOMP-API (unfortunately, it is not working anymore due to lack of resources)
– reached out to implementing parties, to pro-active find mismatches or gaps in functionality
– established (close) connections with other standardization bodies (CEN (NeTEx/SIRI), MobilityData (GBFS, GTFS, GTFS-GOFS), APDS)
– build a network covering the whole world, to each continent, with TOMP interested people
– created two videos to promote the TOMP-API

So it seems, a group of cooperating people can do a lot! And just think what we can achieve in the upcoming years with a bigger, more internationally oriented group of enthusiastic people than 3 years ago.

From here, I would like to thank all for participating and contributing. I am looking forward to the next period working with you. And of course, a happy Easter!
