version 1.4 &#8211; released at the POLIS conference 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last year around the holidays we released version 1.3, this year we want to keep up with that tradition and give you another present towards the standardisation of mobility data.<br><br>Taking advantage of POLIS Conferences Deep Dive session on data, standards, and specifications, the Working Group behind TOMP-API, also referred to as the TOMP Working Group (TOMP-WG), is proud to announce the release of its version 1.4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>As TOMP-API has grown in scope and recognition at national, European, and international levels, it<br>was time for a new release that reflects both the changes in the mobility industry and the continuous<br>rise of shared mobility and new modes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The new release of TOMP-API includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>One-stop booking process for both public transit and map-oriented assets, that would reduce<br>the costs of implementation (e.g., a scooter in front of the user or travelling on a bus stopping<br>at the street corner).<\/li><li>The addition of context to a booking to allow, for example, access to reduced pricing on a<br>single journey made of several legs.<\/li><li>Better interoperability and integration with other specifications and standards that describe<br>the current mobility offers (e.g., NeTEx, GTFS, APDS, GBFS, etc.).<\/li><li>Better support of taxi process.<\/li><li>Better support for micromobility riders (mostly bikes and scooters).<br>In a nutshell, the latest release of TOMP-API is better for all modes of transportation and ensures a<br>better user experience for travellers.<br><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>With a launch slightly before the end-of-year holidays season, the TOMP-WG hopes that it will help<br>all the stakeholders of the mobility industry get
